The venue is a combined collaboration between Sunset Hospitality Group, Nohm Hospitality and Downtown Ventures.
With the imminent launch of J1 Beach at Dubai’s La Mer, one of the flagship outlets has revealed its opening date. Bâoli will open under the management of Sunset Hospitality Group (SHG) in September this year, in partnership with Nohm Hospitality and Downtown Ventures.
Originally from Cannes, France, it is the first Bâoli outlet in the Middle East, following a branch in Miami, which opened in 2008. The venue is inspired by South East Asia and the south of France.
The kitchen will be led by chef Omar Basiony, who has previously worked in Dubai’s Zuma, Park Hyatt Dubai, Flamingo Room by tashas and IFFCO Group. The menu will feature coastal French and Mediterranean flavours and ingredients, “accented with East Asian techniques”.
SHG’s MD of Daylife, Guillaume Ferraz, said: “Combining the spirit of East Asia and French refinement, Bâoli is a celebration of life, where like-minded individuals can unwind and socialise. With our legacy of extraordinary hospitality, we’re excited to add Bâoli to our portfolio.”
The venue will have a VIP lounge and VIP bar, with interiors filled with rich textures and patterns. There’s also an outdoor “petal terrace”.
