The footwear label founded in 1894 continues to develop its retail network arriving in Sicily, with a new store in Modica, in the province of Ragusa, which will find space at number 79 in via Sacro Cuore.
The space extends over 100sq m and is aesthetically in line with the concept that marks all 240 Bata-branded shop windows in Italy. The offer will include women’s, men’s and sports footwear lines, as well as clothing and accessories from the SS 22 collection.
“The opening of this new franchise point of sale represents an important moment for the company for the development of the sales network in Italy. We are investing in the opening of stores in affiliation with partners who have been part of our business for many years and who continue to place trust in the brand for the results that grow year after year,” commented Claudio Alessi, President of Bata Europe. “In addition, to come on board, there are also new franchisees who seize important growth opportunities in Bata: both small entrepreneurs who are entering the franchising business, and larger entrepreneurs who include our brand in the portfolio of their retail brands, to increase their market share on the markets in which they invest.”
The Czech-born footwear retailer has 30,000 employees and nearly 6,000 stores worldwide, which sell more than 180 million pairs of footwear per year, produced in 22 owned factories. For 2022, the Italian branch expects double-digit growth compared to 2021.
