The new online marketplace allows shoppers to browse and buy pre-loved clothes, accessories and homeware.
The new app, which is available for Apple devices, is an easy solution to sustainable shopping. Sellers simply upload a photo of the item they are selling along with a description and price ready for shoppers to browse. Once sold, a courier will be sent by Bazaara to collect the item and deliver it to the customer whilst the payment is electronically transferred.
Sustainable shopping continues to be a concept that many shoppers are engaging with. In a move to help lower fast-fashion, a number of second-hand platforms and marketplaces have now become available in the UAE. Often, many buyers can find a bargain or vintage piece and shopping through these marketplaces prevents the waste of gently used clothing.
Co-Founder Alyssa Maraino comments on the philosophy behind the concept: “As we hurtle towards a more digitally-inclined future, I wanted to bring the excitement of finding a steal at the mall of a thrift shop to online shoppers.”
