Evgeny Kuzin’s Fundamental Hospitality is opening the beachside restaurant Maison de la Plage with chef Izu Ani at Dubai’s West Beach.
Maison de la Plage will also have day beds and a pool at the Palm Jumeirah location. It is the third venue in a series of openings between the restaurant group and Ani, following La Maison Ani and Le Petit Ani.
The chef said: “One of the things I love most about the sea is that it connects us all. It encourages our playful sides and allows us to unwind. No matter where we are in the world or what we do with our days, spending time by the sea calms us. At Maison De La Plage, I urge everyone to take some time for themselves, to breathe, play, share fresh, light dishes and truly connect with the elements.”
Ani said the venue will have a market-style set-up where diners can design their meal before the kitchen brings them to life. Options include artisanal bread, fruits de mer, and fresh produce, paying homage to the Mediterranean Sea and its flavours. There will also be some signature dishes from La Maison Ani available, such as salad Niçoise, escargot au beurre, anchoise et chapelure and linguine au homard.
