BeChef has now launched a shared kitchen in Kyoto, with plans to host three hundred eateries across Japan with the next few years. The first BeChef + Kyoto-branded shared kitchen occupies a 50sqm area which features three separate kitchens.
“For those involved in the restaurant business, I think opening a business independently is a big dream. However, about 70 per cent of restaurants close after three years of operation, and it is said that [only] about 10 per cent of the stores are still open after 10 years.” – said Masafumi Tobe, representative director.
