Best Buy is overhauling its Totaltech annual membership program into a multi-tiered offering with a new name, new benefits and new prices.
The revamped program, called My Best Buy Memberships, will launch on 27 June. It includes three membership options: My Best Buy, My Best Buy Plus and My Best Buy Total. The top tier, My Best Buy Total, includes Geek Squad tech support 24/7, regardless of where an item was bought and 20 per cent off repairs.
Best Buy’s existing Totaltech membership program rolled out nationwide in 2021 and served as the foundation for the new tiered program. Members will be able to transition between the three tiers of the new program or cancel their membership at any time.
“We’ve learned a tremendous amount from our members over the last couple years, especially that different customers value very different benefits when it comes to their technology,” said Patrick McGinnis, Senior VP of Memberships at Best Buy. “Creating these new membership options allows us to be there for all of our customers in the ways that are most important to them.”
