Blimpie makes debut in Asia – opening a store in Singapore

The American ‘submarine sandwich’ chain, Blimpie has now opened its first store in Singapore, making its debut in Asia. The store is located in Tampines and the chain offers a food selection that is adapted for halal customers. Blimpie follows a similar style to subway in allowing customers to choose the type of bread that they wish and the fillings.

The price ranges between SGD6.50 (US$4.81) and SGD13.50 (US$9.99) for regular subs. The company issued the following statement: ‘Although Blimpie Singapore is not yet certified, the supply chain is 100-per-cent halal and we will be applying for certification shortly.’
