The tech-powered hospitality provider, Bob W, has exchanged contracts to launch a 67-unit serviced apartment building in Vienna, marking its first opening in Austria.
The operator has signed a long-term lease agreement with Viennese developer Peter Pilz & Partner Projektentwicklungs GmbH for a 2,000sq m building, located in the Austrian capital’s historic Heiligenstädter Straße.
The aparthotel will be the first Bob W to open in the country and brings the total number of European cities in which it operates to 18. Construction has already started and the property is scheduled to welcome its first guests in 2025.
Conveniently located for guests to explore Vienna, the new Bob W property provides excellent public transport links to the rest of the city, including the many historic and cultural attractions and business districts.
Opposite a new 30,000sq m life science hub currently under development, the property is situated in a corporate centre comprising 170,000sq m of office space serving over 11,000 employees. It is also neighboured by one of Austria’s largest health clinics and two university campuses.
Niko Karstikko, Co-Founder of Bob W, said: “Our expansion into Austria marks a significant milestone for the company. With a booming tourism industry and a dynamic business scene, Vienna is one of the most vibrant and promising markets in Europe, complementing our existing presence in the region. Our serviced apartments will provide flexible, sustainable, tech-led accommodation to tourists, digital nomads and business travellers who are looking for the reliability of a hotel and the amenities and comfort of a real home. We look forward to welcoming our first guests in Vienna as we continue to acquire, expand and identify suitable assets across Europe for new Bob W locations.”
