Boom: Battle Bar Looks to Open in Glasgow St Enoch Centre

Plans have been submitted to Glasgow City Council to open the ‘adventure’ bar, which would include axe throwing and crazy golf.

Boom: Battle Bar venues are filled with crazy games, including Bavarian Axe-Throwing, Crazier Golf, Electric Darts, Shuffleboard, Beer Pong, Skeeball and Boom: Battleground. The bar also provides tasty street food and a selection of cocktails and the brand’s own Boom: Battle Beer.

The plans, which have been submitted by the St Enoch Trustee Company would see four units converted into the space for Boom: Battle Bar, and the application also asks for a change of use, from retail to leisure.

The applicant’s agent, Savills, has commented: “The proposal would have a positive impact upon the wider environment by introducing an active use into vacant units and will generate a substantial number of new jobs. It will also help reduce the vacancy rate within the St Enoch Centre and will improve the prospects of leasing the remaining space for retail use, which will become more attractive as the vacancy rate reduces.”

If the application is approved, the bar would be open between 10am and 12am from Sunday to Thursday and 10am – 2am on Friday and Saturday.
