Bottega Veneta Opens New Seoul Pop-Up Store

The new pop-up location showcases Daniel Lee’s Autumn/Winter 2020 Collection for the brand in Seoul.

Random Studio were enlisted to design the pop-up experience and the store scenography. The Studio drew inspiration from the pop-up’s location next to the iconic Hyundai Card Music Library and created a spatial listening experience based on the ‘Acousmonium’ sonic installations as pioneered by Francois Bayle in the 1970s.

The pop-up is housed in a reflective inflatable structure in front of the building and blends acoustic properties with architecture and aesthetics by including 24 speakers into its voluminous walls to produce a three-dimensional sonic landscape.

When customers enter the store, they will encounter an atmospheric soundscape where layers of sound overlap to conjure up different soundscapes which have been woven together with musical elements created by Seungmin Cha.
