Cain International Completes Five Lettings at Islington Square

Cain International (‘Cain’), the privately held investment firm, has agreed five separate lettings at Islington Square, bringing the mixed-use destination’s retail and hospitality space to 95 per cent let.

The five new deals include a 1,919sq ft letting to Wheat, a childrenswear brand, in what will be its first London store. Additional lettings by Cain have been agreed with independent brands The Rooms, an artisan florist, for a 370sq ft unit as its second London site; homeware retailer, In Residence, which is relocating from nearby Camden Passage to a 474sq ft unit at Islington Square and women’s clothing brand Percy Langley, which has agreed a 1,439sq ft unit as its second store.

Cain has also let 1,715sq ft in Islington Square to clothing brand The Good Neighbour as a pop-up store expected to run for six months with the potential to convert to a permanent site. These recent deals add to Islington’s Square appeal as a mixed-use destination offering retail and hospitality, residential and workspace to its community in well-connected north London.

The five new lettings bring the total number of deals at Islington Square this year to eight, including The King’s Head Theatre, Energise Games and Sticky Mango. A neighbourhood retailing destination as well as a dining hotspot, Islington Square is additionally home to notable names such as Anthropologie, Borough Kitchen, Arlo & Jacob, APC and Duck & Dry and restaurants including Megan’s, Sticky Mango, Prezzo, Bewliehill and Omnom.
