The experiential retailer has opened a new mall location that is filled with family-friendly activities, created with kids in mind.
The Camp concept, which combines retail with family-friendly experiences, has opened its sixth location at The Shops at Columbus Circle in Manhattan. The two-storey outpost has opened with an art theme and features a number of experiences and merchandise that are focused on the visual arts.
The lower level boasts a big blue Chevy truck, which is an ideal location for a quick photo opportunity. A race course complete with plasma cars and scooters for children to drive is also housed on the lower level and paddle drums that can be played as well as a sequin-studded ‘dance cabin’ complete the lower level offering.
The second level boasts the store’s activities. Families can purchase a timed ticket priced at $15 per person, these tickets can be credited to any purchase or activity. Each of the rooms on the second storey feature a different art experience, with everything from a slime studio to a splatter art cabin available.
The entire space is dotted with Camp’s merchandise assortment, which includes art projects that can be completed either at the Camp location or at home. The experiential store is complete with a canteen and a theatre.
