Luxury outerwear brand Canada Goose has set its sights on Honolulu’s vibrant shopping scene, opening a store at Ala Moana Center. Renowned for its warmth-packed parkas, this expansion aligns with the brand’s ongoing growth across the West Coast, bringing a touch of arctic allure to Hawaii’s outdoor shopping mall.
Diversifying beyond its famed parkas, Canada Goose’s expanded product range at the Ala Moana Center store now includes apparel, lightweight jackets, vests, rainwear, and footwear, catering to year-round needs. The highlight of the store is the signature “Snow Room,” allowing customers to test products in simulated snowfall, experiencing temperatures as low as -10°F.
Designed with a gallery-like aesthetic, each Canada Goose store seamlessly integrates art with its product displays, showcasing the brand’s commitment to supporting artists and its rich Canadian heritage. With an impressive art collection exceeding 500 works across 60 stores, the brand boasts the world’s largest retail collection of Inuit art.
In a nod to cultural diversity, the Hawaii store introduces a thematic installation titled “Patterns and Predecessors.” This exhibit weaves together pieces rooted in generational knowledge, presenting narratives from Hawaii, the Arctic, and Southern Canada. As of December 31, 2023, Canada Goose operates 65 stores globally, including 15 permanent U.S. locations, solidifying its presence in luxury outerwear beyond its retail footprint through partnerships with select department stores and specialty retailers.
