The real estate company, which currently has a portfolio of 78 shopping centres throughout Spain, continues to incorporate a number of brands into its portfolio.
Founded by Carrefour and large institutional investors, Carmila has grown to become the third largest listed owner of commercial properties in continental Europe. Carmila’s ethos is to provide a space for consumers who are looking for simplicity and practicality as well as a dynamic and refreshed selection of offerings. Despite the Covid-19 pandemic halting many retailers’ plans to open new physical locations, Carmila is continuing to attract and sign new leases.
A selection of stores including technology-focused Mi Store and City Phone firm have both opened with new locations at the Cabrera de Mar Shopping Centre and Alfafar Shopping Centre respectively. Furniture retail brand Que Barato has opened in the Montequino Shopping Centre and plus size women’s brand Maxi Chika has opened a store in the Los Patios Shopping Centre.
As well as a selection of stores, the brand continues to strengthen its leisure and restaurant offering, incorporating La Tazita de Plata in the Parquesol Shopping Centre and the Abuela Maria Tapas in Holea.
