Chalhoub Group Sets Ambitious Sustainability Targets for Saudi Arabia

The group has revealed ambitious new targets that coincide with the release of its 2020 Sustainability Report.

The ambitious new targets include a major set of new objectives for Saudi Arabia which have been unveiled as part of a wider report into the Group’s performance throughout the GCC region. The targets include specific areas of the business model that can be strengthened each year and in turn support the group’s efforts to deliver meaningful impact throughout the Kingdom.

The five pillars that have been identified are leadership, people, partners, planet and impact. A key priority for Chalhoub is to increase the number of Saudis that are working in back of house roles from 34 per cent to 52 per cent in the next three years. The group will also aim to integrate a number of People of Determination into its workforce, ensuring their space is friendly for people with different mobility and ability needs. Another primary ‘people’ objective is increasing the number of women employed in senior management from 20 per cent to 50 per cent by 2023.

Group President, Patrick Chalhoub commented: “Our Group owes its success to the talents and experiences of our diverse workforce of 114 nationalities; we believe our people are our greatest force in helping us to make a difference to the world around us, and we are very excited to work together to achieve these goals over the next three years.”
