Chester Zoo will soon be opening a stall at the new Chester Market – subject to contract – this will be the zoo’s first retail outlet outside of its home in Upton.
The 510sq ft stall will occupy a prominent position near the main entrance and offer a wide range of Chester Zoo gift items, as well as animal adoptions and experiences – with all sales supporting the not-for-profit zoo’s charitable efforts to create a future where nature can survive and thrive.
Since its founding in 1931, the zoo has become one of the world’s leading conservation charities. It welcomes around two million visitors a year and pioneers work globally to protect endangered wildlife.
Councillor Nathan Pardoe, Cabinet Member for Inclusive Economy, Regeneration and Digital Transformation, said: “We are thrilled to welcome Chester Zoo to the market, and as one of Chester’s most famous attractions and a worldwide conservation leader; we are honoured that they have chosen to launch their first external retail outlet in the market.”
