The fast-casual restaurant intends to open 40 new restaurants across key markets in the US this year.
Chicken Salad Chick opened 37 new locations in 2020 and looking to the future, hopes to have 50 new restaurant openings per year by 2022. The restaurant chain, which has 175 restaurants currently, hopes to have a portfolio of 500 locations by the end of 2025.
The year 2020 was unprecedented for the restaurant industry however, the brand managed to open 37 restaurants, including seven in Texas, five in Georgia, three in Louisiana, two in Arkansas and it’s first ever location in Indiana. The brand also signed nine franchise agreements to develop 23 new restaurants over the next few years.
“Last year will go down in history as one of the most challenging that the restaurant industry has ever faced; to say that we are deeply humbled and grateful for what we’ve been able to accomplish would be an understatement,” said Scott Deviney, Chief Executive Officer of Chicken Salad Chick.
