The Mexican Grill restaurant is trialling its ‘Chipotle Carside’ service at 29 restaurants in California.
The onset of the Covid-19 pandemic has seen Chipotle’s digital sales triple year-over-year and ended up accounting for almost 50 per cent of the brand’s sales. Participating stores will offer customers the option to select ‘carside pickup’ in the checkout section of the Chipotle App.
Once the order is confirmed, instructions will be displayed on the app, inviting the customer to head to the restaurant, park in a spot then press the ‘I’m Here’ button and wait for their order to be delivered.
Customers are also given the option to input the details of their vehicle, including model and colour to ensure a simple process for the deliverer.
