The Mexican cinema operator has announced that they plan to launch around 200 new screens in the region by 2023.
The announcement comes after the launch of the first two Cinepolis theatres opened in Al Jamea Plaza, Jeddah and Lulu Mall, Dammam. Cinepolis has partnered with Al Hokair Group and Al Tayer Group to facilitate their growth and the plans will see the cinema group invest around $300M in Saudi Arabia over the next five years, and
Alejandro Aguilera, Chief Executive Officer of Cinepolis Gulf, commented on the plans: “Cinepolis is proud to be contributing to the Kingdom’s 2030 Vision by providing moviegoers with unrivalled experiences as Saudi Arabia increased its culture and entertainment offering.”
The theatres in Saudi Arabia will boast optimal viewing angles as well as reclining leather seats for optimum comfort. There will also be a junior auditorium, complete with bean-bag seating, a large slide, a ball and a private party room.
