Cinnabon Launches at Raffles City

The famed American cinnamon roll chain officially opens today at Raffles City Shopping Centre in Singapore.

Prior to its launch, the 600sq ft outlet underwent a soft launch with around 200 Cinnapacks available. The brands entrance into Singapore is made by possible by master franchisee Alvin Ng who is also the master franchisee of Hong Kong Bakery Hang Hueng as well as Japanese brands Tokyo Milk Cheese Factory and LeTo.

While the Cinnabon menu at Raffles City is largely the same as other outlets across the world (of which there are more 1,500 across 50 countries) the recipes have been slightly tweaked to produce less sweet treats.

The 20-seat outlet in Raffles City is the brand’s flagship store, and the plan is to open around 10 outlets over the next five years. Some of the outlets may just be kiosk concepts. After business stabilies, Ng intends to introduce new and more localised flavours such as biscoff or kaya, as well as grilled paninis.
