Plans have been announced by John Lewis that will extend its partnership with the Co-op to over 500 stores by the end of this summer.
This extension of the partnership means the complete number of John Lewis Partnership click-and-collect locations will increase to nearly 900, which will practically double the number of locations currently in the UK.
First announced back in May 2019, the partnership allows customers of John Lewis to pick up online orders from Co-op stores, offering them new means of collecting their goods.
“Throughout the Covid-19 pandemic, we’ve seen a significant shift to online shopping and expect this trend to continue,” John Lewis Partnership Executive Operations Director Andrew Murphy said. “As a result, we are dedicated to providing more choice when it comes to how our customers receive their purchases, helping our customers shop how and when they want us. This includes providing more locations for collection and returns for online shopping.
“The partnership is always looking for ways to reach new customers and support local communities, by providing access to the amazing range of products we sell, through convenient locations.”
