Colombia Opens New Bucaramanga Site

Casa Turbay opens the doors of its new location in Bucaramanga, with a 400sq m store at street level.

Founded in 1914 by Rafael Juan Turbay, Casa Turbay tells the legacy of a family that has invested in and supported the national textile, home textiles, and fashion industry since the last century.

Products that have written the textile history of Colombia such as Tejicondor, La Corona shoes, Barbizio hats and Galax socks have passed through the corridors of Casa Turbay, as well as names that are still standing today, such as Gef, Fatelares, Distrihogar, Protela, Fabricato and Cannon.

The banner located in the centre of Bucaramanga since 1940 opens a new headquarters in Cabecera, one of the most prestigious commercial neighbourhoods in the city and speaks to a new generation of buyers.

“Today at Casa Turbay we have 20 national brands and although it is mainly home products and lingerie, we also have women’s underwear, women’s sportswear and beachwear,” Julia Amaya, great-granddaughter of Rafael Juan Turbay, founder of the company, told FashionNetwork.com.
