According to reports, Reliance Retail is holding talks in order to take over the rights for LVMH-owned beauty retailer Sephora from Arvind Fashions, Mint reported.
Arvind Fashion has held the master franchise rights for Sephora in India since 2015 and in that time it has launched 25 stores across 13 cities, offering high-end beauty products from the likes of Bobbi Brown, Lancome, Estee Lauder and Guerlain.
Whilst neither company has responded to the report, if the deal were to go ahead it would further increase Reliance Retail’s market share in the luxury sector following the purchase of a series of international fashion brands during the past 12 months.
