A deal has been reached for CVS Health to complete the purchase of Signify Health for around $8bn.
“This acquisition will enhance our connection to consumers in the home and enables providers to better address patient needs as we execute our vision to redefine the health care experience,” CVS Health President and CEO Karen Lynch said in a news release.
The news of the deal comes as the likes of Amazon and Walgreens are also extending their reach into the health sector and this is the latest deal in a slew of other acquisitions and shifts into primary health care by CVS, who habe previously purchased the likes of Aetna and Caremark.
While the agreement has been announced, it is not expected to be fully completed until H1 of 2023.
