To be known as ‘D-Mart Ready’, the fulfilment centres are committed to the company’s e-commerce business.
As consumers continue to find e-commerce offerings more appealing, Avenue Supermarts Limited – doing business as DMart, has decided to close two of their store locations, turning them instead into fulfilment centres to enhance their e-commerce offerings. Avenue Supermarts, commented: “We have close two of our Mumbai stores for customers and converted them into fulfilment centres for our e-commerce business – one each in Mira Road and Kalyan. Both these locations have an alternate D-Mart store within 4km.”
As well as this, Avenue Supermarts commented that they opened six new D-Marts stores between July and September and that they’re now seeing a gradual improvement as it continues to progress towards pre-pandemic levels.
