Dadeland Station Welcomes New Anchor Tenants

The site has welcomed two new anchor tenants in less than a month, as Burlington and Marshalls have opened their doors, adding approximately 62,000sq ft of retail space to the Miami shopping centre.

Burlington, a nationally recognised off-price retailer with more than 1,200 stores nationwide, occupies approximately 31,000sq ft at 8380 South Dixie Highway. Marshalls, a leading off-price retailer owned by The TJX Companies, has opened an approximately 31,000sq ft store at 8364 South Dixie Highway. Both retailers have signed long-term leases at the property.

The new stores join Target, Best Buy, Michaels and PetSmart, among others. Dadeland Station generates about 5,000 vehicle visits per day and several of its longstanding anchors, including Target, Best Buy and Michaels, are among the stronger-performing stores within their respective chains.

“Dadeland Station is experiencing tremendous momentum and is a great example of the continued strength and evolution of brick-and-mortar retail,” said Michael Berkowitz, Principal of Berkowitz Development Group. “The performance of our existing tenants, combined with the significant investment being made by Burlington and Marshalls, demonstrates the continued demand for well-positioned physical retail. We’re focused on attracting retailers that can perform at a very high level and continuing to strengthen Dadeland Station as one of Miami’s most successful retail destinations.”

With Burlington and Marshalls now open, Dadeland Station has one remaining retail opportunity: approximately 42,500sq ft, which Berkowitz Development Group is seeking to lease to a single tenant.
