The Australian upmarket department store David Jones and BP are planning to ppen another 21 gourmet convenience stores in Melbourne and Sydney by the end of the year.
The expansion, part of a joint venture, will bring the total number of dual-branded sites to 31 in the country.
According to David Jones and BP, the stores have all been carefully designed to cater to the expectations of busy, urban customers, offering David Jones’ food-for-now and food-for-later options, prepared meals and groceries.
Seven of the partner stores are planned for opening in Melbourne in the following suburbs Merrifield, Clyde, Epping, Caroline Springs, Eltham, Greenvale and Kingsway. Fourteen sites are earmarked to open in Sydney in Kellyville, Marden Park, Seven Hills, Willoughby, Caringbah, Mosman, Sydenham, Penrith, Thornleigh, Asquith, Engadine, Peninsula, West Ryde and Ourimbah.
David Jones and BP stated all partner sites will also have a select range of the David Jones Food offering available to order on Uber Eats.
