The French sporting goods company is opening a new branch in the first half of 2022 in the municipality of Seiersberg-Pirka.
The branch will be home to high-quality sporting goods for over 70 sports on an area of 3,000sq m. Decathlon anticipates that the new store will create around 45 new jobs in the region.
The store benefits from a key location as in addition to its extensive catchment area, which includes Graz, Leoben, Kapfenberg and areas of neighbouring Slovenia, the location of the new Seiersberg-Pirka business park is mostly impressive due to its optimal accessibility for visitors.
“Despite the pandemic, we can look back on two successful years of growth and look forward to further pushing ahead with our expansion plans in Austria. Our goal is to set up a concept store in every major federal state in addition to our online shop,” says Gábor Pósfai , Country Leader Decathlon Austria.
