Decathlon Grows in Chile

The French-based sporting goods retailer has launched its first store in Valparaiso, in the city of Viña del Mar.

Located on the third floor of the Espacio Ubrano shopping complex, the new store boasts a curated selection of the brand’s fashion and sporting goods, displaying more than 12,000 products from as many as 20 brands across 65 different sports.

The brand first launched into the Chilean market in 2018, opening a store in the Portal La Reina complex, and quickly followed up with a further two stores, one in the Open Kennedy Shopping Mall and another in Maipú. Decathlon has also opened a store under the Decathlon Connect concept in the capital of Chicuero. The connect concept offers a smaller store surface than other Decathlon locations and appears to be perfect for cities.

As well as the four Decathlon stores and the single Decathlon Connect concept store, the brand also services customers in South America through its digital channel and e-commerce platform.
