Decathlon to Arrive at Complex

The French sportswear chain confirms the opening of a new store in Cali, in the south of the city, this September.

The new location will open its doors in the Jardín Plaza shopping centre, one of the busiest in the city.

“Since we arrived in the country, our goal was to continue democratising sport and give Colombians a unique and affordable offer that would allow them to have healthier lifestyle habits and new passions,” reported Carlos Gómez, CEO of Decathlon in Colombia.

Since its arrival in the country, the chain has been committed to the employability of young people, managing to have more than 800 employees to date, of which 95 per cent show a level of satisfaction with the company and the majority are under 40 years old.

“In the future, our goal is to achieve the goal of 25 to 30 stores in the next 5 to 10 years. For 2023 we are more cautious than last year, although with double-digit growth as well. The current economic situation means that all retailers are in that line,” Gómez concluded.
