Abu Dhabi’s popular community mall is inviting residents and visitors alike to join in the fun at the 50th National Day celebrations between 29 November and 15 January 2022, when they kick-off their ‘From Sand to Stars’ campaign.
Deerfields’ outdoor Heritage Village will honour the nation’s culture and traditions with a line-up of activities for all to enjoy, including Arabic cooking stations, arts and handicrafts, an outdoor souq, and Al Ayalah dancing. The celebratory Sands to Stars Heritage Village will be located in the mall’s newly refurbished garden area with operating hours of 2pm – 10pm.
In addition to a retrospective journey through the UAE’s customs, the village will showcase the country’s future vision and aspirations with a virtual reality projection of the Emirates Mars Mission and more – providing a contemporary twist to the cultural initiative.
“National Day is the pinnacle of the UAE celebratory calendar, and we want to bring all members of our community together to honour 50 years of achievements, culture, and heritage that have made our great country what it is today,” commented Mohammed Al Haj, CEO of Deerfields Mall. “Our Sand to Stars initiative will pay homage to the past whilst looking forward to the UAE of the future.”
