The new park, which is slated to open in 2024, will be situated in the heart of Riyadh and will be one of the largest urban parks in the world, covering a vast space of 13.3km.
King Salman Park is designed to offer both the very best green spaces and a comprehensive offering of sports, cultural and artistic activities including skydiving and seven museums to explore. Excitingly, the park will play host to the first official skydiving centre in Riyadh, offering trainers on hand to show guests exactly how it is done. Alongside this, the park will be home to an equestrian centre and a VR Court.
Other exciting activities planned for the park include a golf course which will span roughly 850,000sq m and will be one of the first in the city, catering to the growing appetite for golf amongst the community. Located next door to this will be a sports complex that will span 50,000sq m.
One of the most anticipated parts of the park is the Royal Art Complex, which will include a national theatre showcasing local movies, as well as seven museums, an outdoor theatre, four art academies, and a children’s educational centre. The seven museums will include aviation, astronomy and space, science, VR and many more.
