Din Tai Fung Prepares for First Abu Dhabi Restaurant

The popular Taiwanese hotspot has chosen The Galleria Al Maryah Island to open its first Abu Dhabi restaurant.

Set to open in early 2022, the world-renowned Taiwanese restaurant is expected to attract diners across the emirate to Abu Dhabi. The award-winning restaurant has become the international standard for soup dumpling, or xiao long bao, which translates to ‘little basket bun.’ Each dumpling is masterfully rolled out, filled and folded with 18 exact folds.

Alongside welcoming Din Tai Fund, the Galleria Al Maryah Island is set to reinforce its status as the capital’s much-loved dining hub with a host of exciting new dining concepts that are set to open over the next year. These include TVM, an innovative alcohol-free Irish bar, originating from Dublin; Almayass, an acclaimed Lebanese-American restaurant; and Grand Beirut, which offers authentic Lebanese specialities that promise to transport them to the heart of the Levant.

Commenting on The Galleria’s evolving dining offer, David Robinson, General Manger, The Galleria Al Maryah Island, said: “With over 100 international dining options from award-winning fine dining to family restaurants, quick bites and cafés, The Galleria is the capital’s number one dining destination. We’re delighted to bring globally renowned brands such as Din Tai Fung, Almayass, TVM and Grand Beirut exclusively to our guests, and we remain committed to bringing unique and memorable experiences to the wider Abu Dhabi community.”
