Saudi Arabia’s Diriyah Company announced that it has officially broken ground on seven world-class luxury hotels.
This marks the ongoing expansion in developing world-class properties, which will ultimately comprise more than 40 hotels and over 6,500 rooms throughout the Diriyah and neighbouring Wadi Safar development areas in Saudi Arabia.
The latest groundbreakings took place for seven hotels offering a total of 877 rooms: Raffles Diriyah, Armani Diriyah, Orient Express Diriyah, Baccarat Diriyah, Corinthia Diriyah, Fauchon L’Hotel Diriyah and Rosewood Diriyah.
The news was announced during the second edition of the “Bashayer – Delivering our Future” event, with global investors, hospitality companies, construction firms, infrastructure experts and sports, arts, culture, tourism and retail representatives participating.
Diriyah Company Group CEO Jerry Inzerillo said: “At Diriyah, we are committed to offering the highest world-class standards of hospitality and we are enormously proud to have broken ground on these seven prestigious properties. This is the second Bashayer event where we have undertaken hotel groundbreakings and demonstrated the progress and accelerated development in building The City of Earth.”
The development of these hotels is an important contribution to Diriyah’s ongoing commitment to support the economic diversification of Saudi Arabia in line with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, as well as helping boost the impact of tourism on the Kingdom’s GDP to 10 per cent by 2030.
