The discount retailer is set to make its debut in Taipei.
Don Don Donki already operates 160 branches across Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand and Hawaii and the launch of this store will mark the brands first debut into the Taiwanese market. Following the brand becoming a firm favourite for Taiwanese visitors in Japan and the launch of a free international shipping promotion on its e-commerce platform, the news that the brand will launch into Vietnam does not come as a surprise.
Although no official statement has yet been made with regards the location or opening date of the store, news quickly spread of the brand’s launch into Vietnam via an advertisement that showed recruitment of around 400 employees.
Don Don Donki is enjoying a rapid international growth and the brand’s fifth Hong Kong outlet is opening in October with further openings expected across the Asia region.
