Cinemacity has opened a licensed lounge and theatre that is complete with reclining seats, gourmet snacks and waiter service.
The new venue is located at Fountain Views and is neighboured by Downtown Kitchens and CZN Burak. Featuring six screens with a total of 220 seats, Lebanese brand Cinemacity intends to take the movie-watching experience to a new level. Guests can purchase Club Class seats or fully reclining VIP seats that come with a call button that will summon a waiter for guests to order items from the concession or hot food menu.
Gourmet options available include Taiwanese popcorn chicken, pure Angus beef sliders with truffle fries and sushi rolls. Furthermore, one of the screens is licensed and will be serving craft beverages; the Azul Lounge & Theatre will introduce a new concept with a Japanese-Mediterranean menu, classic rolls and tapas-style dishes; and the cosy Backlot Café will serve sandwiches, salads, pastries and coffees.
Karim Atassi, Vice President at Cinemacity, and Creator of Azul Lounge & Theatre concept, commented: “We’re trying to change the way people look at going to the movies. No more fluorescent-lit malls and stepping out of a dark theatre into blinding bright lights. We want to give people a pampered night out in our luxurious theatres, where they can enjoy their favourite movies in comfort and then step into our ambient Azul Lounge to enjoy our music, a delicious bite, and their favourite cocktail or drink.”
