Curated vintage pieces are mixed with specially designed furnishings, hand-detailed plastering, a warming palette of charcoals and mauves and richly woven textiles. The Downtown L.A. Proper Hotel boasts a multilevel rooftop pool deck and three dining areas. The rooftop is a picturesque setting with cosy corners and spots for lounging. Cara Cara, a rooftop restaurant-bar and lounge benefits from unobstructed 360-degree views of the city. Local ingredients are utilised at the dining area, showcased in dishes including vibrant salads, al pastor tacos, a deeply decadent albacore sandwich, and shareable dishes.
Caldo Verde is the hotel’s lobby level signature restaurant and bar, which is inspired by Portugal and Spain. Dishes such as clams with sherry, chickpeas and onion blossoms and beef cheek are all served against the backdrop of a monolithic stained-glass installation. Finally, Dalia is an intimate lounge where guests can enjoy handcrafted cocktails and boutique wines.
