The 55sq m unit opened in December at the terminal’s B gates as part of a wave of new shop and restaurant arrivals at the terminal that also included the first Bath & Body Works outlet in the Middle East plus stores from Pink, Bottega, Jones the Grocer, The Hangar and the Food Village.
Operated by Dubai-headquartered business group Al-Futtaim, the M&S pop-up sells a mix of M&S food items including Colin the Caterpillar sweets, British favourites such as crumpets and scones and daily essentials.
A Dubai Airports spokesperson said: “The outlet is a welcome addition as Dubai Airports continues the journey of transforming the customer experience at Dubai International, the world’s busiest international airport.”
Al-Futtaim’s partnership with M&S dates back to 1998 when both parties opened Dubai’s first M&S store. In 2018, Al Futtaim acquired M&S’s retail business in Hong Kong and Macau to become the sole franchisee for the territories.
