Dynabook Looks to Expand in the Middle East

The personal computer company, previously known as Toshiba, is looking to expand into the Middle East ‘as quickly as possible.’

Toshiba was rebranded to Dynabook in 2018 when Sharp Corporation obtained 80.1 per cent of the computer business. As Toshiba, the brand largely existed in the Middle East, however Dynabook is now looking to switch strategies, looking to re-enter the MENA market and is 100 per cent B2B.

As part of this strategy, Dynabook has signed an agreement with Lebanon founded PC DealNet, giving distribution rights of its B2B mobile computing products and services across key Middle Eastern markets including United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman, Kuwait, Lebanon and Jordan.

Damian Jaume, Europe President, Dynabook, commented: “The first two years Dynabook focused on Western Europe, and now we need to grow further, and we’re looking at the Middle East, Russia, and Africa.”

The company is currently looking for partners, which are integral to doing business in the region.
