Eagle Hills Galerija Belgrade Mall Set to Open This Month

Founder of Eagle Hills, Mohamed Alabbar stated at the pre-opening of the mega Galerija Belgrade Mall that the overall project is ‘not just for profit.’

Eagle Hill’s Belgrade Waterfront Project will span 1.8 million square meters and will house a number of elements. The Kula Belgrade, which is the city’s tallest building standing at 168 metres tall will be a part of the development as well as hotels, office buildings, and 7000 residential units. The Galerija Belgrade, the retail aspect of the project is set to open in October. The development will become the biggest shopping and entertainment destination in Serbia, featuring 300,000sq m in total with 93,000sq m of this being leasable area.

Mohamed Alabbar stated: “This is not so much about investment. It is really about these happy people who are walking on the riverbank. This is the real question – what do these people feel when they walk with pride, with happiness and hope that this country and city is feeling good. But if it is not driven mainly by that spirit of changing human life, nothing matters anymore. And this is what drives my business… profit will come but do things right.”
