The company has confirmed that 50 of its stores will close, resulting in the loss of 600 jobs.
The clothing retailer was founded in 1946 and since the brands launch the group has grown to include a number of other retailers in its portfolio, including: Jane Norman, Ponden Home, Peacocks, Austin Reed, Jaeger, Hector Russell, Country Rose, Honor Millburn, Country Casuals, James Pringle, Harris Tweed, Isle, Lochmere, Artisan Knitwear, PG Field, Gleneagles, GR8 Kids and Comfy Sense.
Those stores that are expected to face closures include the Edinburgh Woolen Mill and Peacocks chains with the job losses being shop floor workers.
