Labyrinth, a new permanent venue for immersive experiences, is opening later this year beneath Waterloo station in London.
Four years in the making, Labyrinth Waterloo will include an immersive theatre space, as well as the ‘Underland’ bar and a restaurant called ‘The Rosarium’. The subterranean venue opens with a show called ‘Alice’s Adventures Underground’, created by theatre company Les Enfants Terribles.
Labyrinth is also the name of a new theatre company formed by Les Enfants Terribles creative directors Oliver Lansley and James Seager, and producers Hunter Arnold and Gavin Kalin. The team will create, develop and produce immersive experiences featuring beautiful sets and whimsical stories.
“Labyrinth will operate a world-class permanent home to the ever-flourishing immersive genre for the existing and new generation of theatregoers and experience seekers,” said Seager. “Labyrinth Waterloo underneath Waterloo station is just the beginning and we’re very excited about what the global future holds.”
Alice’s Adventures Underground will open at Labyrinth Waterloo on 15 November 2022, and is booking until 30 April 2023.
