FamilyMart Malaysia has recently introduced a food store concept called ‘Food Superstores’ with plans already in place to open 20 new stores by the end of the year.
The first two of these planned 20 stores have opened their doors in Sri Petaling and Bandar Puteri Puchong. The ‘Food Superstores’ concept is different to the usual FamilyMart convenience store with a focus on ready-to-eat and frozen foods whilst also offering a larger seating area for customers. The seating areas, including for individuals and groups, are separated by transparent glass barriers.
The new stores will bring together more than 100 products ranging from Japanese snacks to ready-to-eat food as well as freshly cooked dishes and desserts. The company intends to open Food Superstores in each state where it is currently present by the end of this year.
The launch of the new concept store also falls alongside the fifth year anniversary for FamilyMart in the country.
