The franchise agreement will see the French company’s first entrance into Saudi Arabia, the Middle East’s largest economy.
France-based FNAC Darty is an electronic and cultural retailer, with 908 international stores and 346 franchises across the world. Following the signing of this franchise deal with Fawaz Alhokair, the brand will open its first FNAC store in Saudi Arabia in 2022, offering multi-brand consumer electronics, household appliances, stationery, books, cultural and lifestyle products and value-added services.
Fawaz Alhokair is an exceptionally well established and successful franchise retailer which operates around 1,800 retail stores across 12 countries. The signing of the franchise agreement expands the group’s retail portfolio into consumer electronics and multimedia categories.
Alongside this, the group continues to strengthen its electronics offering in the Kingdom by rolling out new Alpeh Apple Premium Reseller stores, with latest opening in U-Walk Riyadh. Three others are expected to open by the end of May. According to Fawaz Alhokair, the total number of Aleph stores is expected to reach 20 stores over the next 18 months.
