F&B Start-Up Enters Singapore

An Indonesian-based online restaurant start-up, Dailybox, opened a new kitchen in Singapore.

Dailybox Group CEO Kelvin Subowo explained that they decided to expand the business to Singapore due to the dependence of the Singaporean towards food delivery services. Surveys showed that nearly half of the Singapore population, or around 2.5 million people, used food delivery services in the country in 2021.

That number is expected to increase to 3.6 million in 2025. In addition, consumers in the west area of the city-state reportedly want more variations of non-local food.

“Jurong is one of the densely populated areas. Unfortunately, F&B merchants in this location do not vary. To meet the consumer’s needs, Dailybox joins and becomes one of the F&B merchants in the Supply Chain City area,” Kelvin said last Friday.
