The restaurant brand, which is dedicated to serving healthy food at scale, is opening its first restaurant in the San Diego-area in Carlsbad.
The new store will offer an estimated 2,752sq ft space to accommodate 30 indoor diners at one time, with additional seating for up to 30 also available on the restaurant’s outdoor patio. The move falls in line with the brand’s philosophy – to bring healthy, fresh food to as many community members as possible.
“With each new market we enter, we take a really close look at what the community needs and wants, and what sweetgreen can offer,” said sweetgreen Co-founder and Chief Concept Officer, Nicolas Jammet. “Carlsbad has an extremely vibrant, active community and we’re thrilled to be opening our doors to provide healthy, flavourful food to everyone in the area.”
The store marks the brand’s entry into its 14th new market whilst also highlighting sweetgreen’s expansion within Southern California, furthering its commitment to connecting people to real food.
