Flayva Welcomes over One Million Guests in Six Months

Al Ghurair Centre, the UAE’s first shopping mall, has revealed its new Flayva food hall recorded more than 1.17 million visitors in the first six months of operations, increasing overall footfall to the mall by close to a million – the equivalent to a 12.9 per cent jump when compared to the same period of 2023.

Flayva, which has established a growing reputation for its diverse homegrown food concepts, revealed that, in the first six weeks alone, total orders reached 70,000, while that number jumped to more than a quarter of a million by August. Month-by-month records show the highest performing months to be April, June and August. This is likely as a result of Eid Al Fitr and Eid Al Adha celebrations, as well as public competitions and masterclass activations.

The numbers showcase Flayva’s ever-growing potential to serve the neighbourhood community with diverse dining options along with seasonal fun and engaging activities. From special offers to public competitions, Flayva has run several activations during its first 26 weeks, most notably a public competition to mark International Chicken Wing Day, a spicy seafood eating competition and performances by local bands ‘About Last Night’ and ‘The Boxtones,’ that drew a huge turnout thereby increasing overall mall footfall.

To ensure a notable diversity in cuisines, Flayva has onboarded a further five new F&B vendors, each with their own unique concept and is yet to add Brisket to the food hall as well. Hangry Joe’s, Turk Cuisine, Holy Buns by SMK, Fudo Sushi and Harvest Café, each offer something from around the world, be it Turkey, Japan, United States, or elsewhere.
