Focus Estate Fund Expands Retail Portfolio with Acquisition of Galeria Sandecja in Poland

Focus Estate Fund has successfully concluded the acquisition of Galeria Sandecja, a prominent shopping center in Nowy Sącz, Poland, marking its seventh investment in the Polish retail sector. Spanning a total area of 17,650 sqm, this strategic addition propels the fund’s total leasable area (GLA) to surpass 100,000 square meters in Poland. The undisclosed transaction was facilitated with the support of key partners, including Colliers International representing TK Development, and advisory firms Czabański & Gałuszyński, Gleeds, and KKLW.

Galeria Sandecja stands out with over 70 shops, service points, and dining options, featuring a diverse tenant mix including renowned brands like H&M, New Yorker, Martes Sport, Douglas, Deichmann, CCC, and hosting the sole Carrefour hypermarket in the region. With 800 parking spaces, the shopping center prioritizes convenience for visitors and offers additional services such as car wash facilities, a children’s play area, and proximity to essential amenities like a gas station, medical clinic, and automotive centers.

Maxim Shkolnik, General Partner of Focus Estate Fund, expressed pride in the strategic diversification of their portfolio through targeted acquisitions of mid-sized convenience shopping centers in Poland. He also highlighted their commitment to sustainability initiatives, including the potential installation of solar panels aimed at reducing the carbon footprint across their portfolio. Shkolnik emphasized the crucial support and partnership provided by BNP Paribas Bank Polska, their valued strategic partner in Poland, commending the bank’s sectoral expertise and shared commitment to business priorities.
