The company said yesterday that it will begin the implementation of foreign currency exchange kiosks at a number of its convenience store chain GS25 and supermarket unit GS The Fresh.
It is understood that these forex kiosks will be operated on a trial basis to begin with and be situated at around 10 stores run by GS Retail. The idea behind the introduction of forex kiosks by GS Retail is to strengthen its financial services offerings as demand grows from tourists.
Once installed, the kiosks will allow people to exchange won for foreign currencies from 15 countries, including dollars, yen and euros among others.
