Zara is to make a former Topshop space in Leeds its latest home as it plans to launch a new flagship site in the city.
According to Retail Week, the Inditex-owned fashion giant has upsized and relocated from its current spot on the Briggate shopping street to the new 46,000sq ft location which spans three floors.
The site was home to a Topshop unit until a couple of years ago which was when the collapse of Sir Philip Green’s Arcadia Group led to the closure of all the sites.
The upcoming flagship is an opening that is in-line with Zara’s store optimisation plans, which has the goal of creating larger, improved and more attractive stores in prime retail sites across the world.
